Mavs Beat the Wizards, Getting Their Fifth Straight Win

The Mavericks won their fifth straight win Saturday night against the Washington Wizards, 105-99. This was also their 15th win in the last 16 for Dallas.

As the first quarter ended with the Mavs just up by 1, it wasn't easy to foresee the bumpy game that was about to come.

The Mavs led at the half 59-49 and held onto the lead for the rest of the game.

At one point in the fourth, the Wizards were down by 11 points, but Crawford came off the bench scoring 10 points to help tie the game at 97 with just under two minutes to go.

Terry then missed a shot, but Chandler was there with the important tip-in.

Kidd then intercepted Wall's pass to Lewis who later on in the play fouled Dirk as he shot an attempted three-pointer. He made two of three free throws to put the Mavs up 101-97.

The Wizards rally wasn't enough to beat the Mavs, as Dallas hung on the rest of the game to win it 105-99.

Washington let this game slip away because of their poor free throw shooting. They missed 10 of 16 free throws, including going 0 for 6 in the fourth quarter.

The Mavs were just 1 point short of having another consecutive game of having five+ players in double figures.

Chandler had a season high 23 points and 13 rebounds and once again overpowered JaVale McGee. 14 of those points came from dunks. With Tyson's incredible offense in each game, it's quite baffling that 23 is his season high.

Terry led the Mavs with 25 points while Dirk wasn't too far behind him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Marion had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Although much older than Wall, Kidd didn't have a hard time keeping up as he had 14 assists and 8 rebounds.

On the other hand, Roddy didn't have too good of a game, scoring just 2 points as he went 1-7 from the field and 0-2 from beyond the arch.

For the Wizards, Wall led the team with 24 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Young put up 14 points and Lewis had 13. Crawford had 10 points off the bench which came helpful in the fourth in Washington's attempt to rally back. Howard played his first game against his old team as a Wizard racking up 10 points but leaving the game because his knee started to feel sore.

Next the Mavs travel to Toronto to face the Raptors Sunday night.
