Roddy Makes His Season Debut and the Mavs Beat Kings 116-100

The game that was highly anticipated all season has finally come. Rodrigue Beaubois made his appearance in this game vs Sacramento. By watching his performance, you would have never thought he left for so long.

The first quarter ended with the teams tied at 25.

At the half, Dallas was up 61-48. Sacramento suddenly erased this 13 point deficit, as it looked like the Kings were making a comeback; but that didn't last for long.

The Mavericks started the third quarter with a 24-4 run. Kidd hit a 3-pointer to put the mavs up 94-74 with a minute left in the quarter. During this run, Peja and Roddy hit 3's as well.

After this quarter, Dallas continued to look hot. From this point on they held onto a strong lead, winning it 116-100.

Both teams didn't handle the ball so well. The Mavericks scored 38 points off 26 Sacramento turnovers. The Kings scored 24 points off of 21 by the Mavs.

The Mavs have had atleast five players score in double figures in 12 straight games. Eight players were able to reach double digits against the Kings:

Jason Kidd had one of the most exceptional shooting nights of his career in this third quarter. He hit 6 of 7 shots in the third, five of them being 3-pointers and a 2 with his foot on the line. He finished with 20 points, one less of his season high.

Rodrigue made his debut in this game contributing 13 points and 6 assists in just 21 minutes.

Brendan Haywood, who has received a "DNP" for the past two games, had one of his best games of the season. He scored 12 points and 10 rebounds in just 21 minutes as well.

In addition to Kidd, Beaubois and Haywood, the others who scored in double figures were: Marion with 14 points, Nowitzki with 13, Peja with 12, Jason Terry with 12, and Barea with 11 points and 10 assists. Dallas' bench outscored Sacramento's 62-33.

For the Kings, Taylor led the team with 17 points. Cousins, Udrih and Greene all added 16 points a piece.

In this game, Dallas shot a season high 55.6% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc. They also set a season high with 34 assists.

Next the Mavs travel to Denver to vs the Nuggets, seeking their 40th win.
